Investing in domains is fun and exciting... Not to mention very profitable. It's the opportunity of our lifetime... Even in 2009! Of course you can't just pop up outta nowhere and attempt to put together a killer portfolio of domains in a few days or weeks. Nope. It is not a smart move and if you want to make the most of your $ you need to invest over time only when you see good opportunities where it actually makes sense.
Those opportunities are expired domain auctions. Firesales at forums and so on. They are going on each and every day. If you follow those consistently, every day of the week, for month's.. You will be able to put together a killer domain portfolio and put your $$$ into good use. Invest your cash wisely!! There really is no shortage of good keyword domains to purchase on the aftermarket, but you want the best of the best.. Don't you?? Right??!?
You gotta be patient and most important of all you have to put in the hour or two each and every day. That one day you take off may be the day where you miss out on the killer deal of a lifetime. I've had plenty of those moments where I think to myself... "What if..." and I sure as hell am glad I continue to go at it non-stop. Consistency is the most important thing in this business because sooner than later, you will find yourself with the opportunity to purchase a great domain at the right price... and then once again... and again.
I've already purchased more domains on the domain aftermarket in 2009 than I have in 2006, 2007 and 2008 combined.. Why?! Because there are lots of deals. A lot of people are cashing out and running. There are tremendous opportunities in the domain business. You can get lots of steals for under $100. We are talking about domains that are worth $1000s if you know what to do with them. I am more than ever focusing on quality VS. hand registered long shots. I've cut back on those and spending my $$$ wisely.. Are you? :)
