Domain development couldn't be simpler if people only followed some of the guidelines! There really isn't anything involved in the process that is hard to do when it comes down to execution. It couldn't be easier in 2009. There is tons of resources to guide you step by step and the tools available are so straightforward that even 12 year old's are doing it and making more $$$ than you.. How embarrassing is that? No... I am not joking either! You suck heh :(
Look man.. You pick out a good keyword domain, develop a website, put up content on it and then do the SEO. There is on-page SEO such as tagging all your images properly, using relevant and catchy titles, descriptions, headings, making sure site structure is SEO friendly and so on. Then there is off-site SEO which is basically hardcore marketing. You have to market the finished product somewhere and somehow.. Otherwise, nobody will really know or care about the finished product. Makes sense I hope?? Click click?? Do you follow me!!?
Due to lack of proper SEO probably 98% of all websites on the internet fail and never turn in any profit. It's kinda sad to see websites with great content never even have the chance. Today, off-site SEO, in other words link building is more important than ever. I've wrote tons about this already and covered the topic extensively so no need to repeat what has already been put out there... So really, if you don't do the SEO / marketing of your website.. You have no chance of ever making it on the internet. You are going to fail... BIG TIME! :(
Kids who run hobby sites and what not as young as 12 years old exchange links with each other and that is how they take care of the linkbuilding. They also plug in their url's everywhere they can, including myspace, youtube and whatever else. Now, I see grown ass man who are suppose to be domainer professionals and big time businessman and they can't figure this shit out.. They can do a tons of other things but they can't take care of what probably is the easiest step in making sure a website becomes successful --- They can't do shit when it comes to SEO! It is just mind boggling. What is going on here?!??
All it takes is one link to get your website going and launched for good. It doesn't have to be a million links... No! Fuck no... That is a myth. It doesn't even have to be a dozen. Link building doesn't even have to be done daily, or weekly or anything like that. It can be a one time SEO link building campaign that you carry out when you have some time and that's it. You got one link... You got a few... Great. It's possibly a done deal. I SHIT YOU NOT! You do not need to do anything afterwards. You sit and wait. Let time do it's thing! :)
I launched the domain BestInternetBrowser.com a few month's ago as an example / showcase when I wrote about WordPress development. The website only has one link pointing to it, from within that article. That is all it took to get that website launched for good. Of course I have the exact match keyword domain + great content too.. Which is a must :) As you can also see, all of the content pages are optimized and setup so that they are "SEO friendly" too. The search engines fall in love with this type of setup!! Love at first sight... :D
The domain started generating traffic and ranking on Google almost instantly once launched. The traffic continues to increase week after week, after week too. I have not touched or done anything to the website since launching it back then. Everything was taken care of right there and then. It's really as simple as that. Take a look at the webstats log from last month; July 2009... Not bad right for an hour's work!??
Now lets take a look at another domain which I sold earlier this year: HomeWeatherStations.com to a company called 3tailer. They launched a website on it only a few month's ago as well... The SEO of the website kind of sucks but they managed to get some good links pointing to the site.. So that is good enough to get them ranked right at the top at all of the engines. Woohoo!
Google, Yahoo and Bing... #2 spot, not bad right?? The search engines love ranking exact match keyword domains. They give extra extra extraaa points to sites that are setup properly with on-topic content and some links. It really couldn't be easier getting free traffic for life if you only follow the guidelines.. But what if you screw up a bit here and there like they did with the on-page SEO or linkbuilding... It's fine!! Shit happens. The most important things that matter most, once again are domain + content + off site seo; link building !!
You are probably thinking... Hahhh!! Those keywords that the 2 example sites above rank for are crappy. Yea?? Well, why don't you try and see how difficult it is ranking for any internet software related keywords or a popular and actual product. It will take you a year plus if not more to get to where you need to be... But thanks to the exact match keyword domain --- it only took a few month's to get established for good. Well, not even... It was much faster than that, but if the rankings stick for a few month's --- you are set lovely! :D
Anyways... You get the point. But wait, I got another example. Final one and it's a wrap. I wrote about Frank Schilling's domains recently, and one of them was MontrealRestaurants.com which is a full blown website; directory style. From the three examples, this is without a doubt the hardest site to get SEO'd and ranking because... Well... Montreal is a huge city with a million and half people and there is tons of Montreal Restaurant sites that have been around forever, as well as 100s of guides / portals that have content about it as well.
But no worries! Even though that the SEO on that website isn't the greatest.. Even though that there isn't much unique content on there because it's all just restaurant listings scrapped from a yellowpages database or something similar... The website still ranks for the money keywords. It doesn't rank #1, #2 or top five but it is cracking the top 10 and will continue to move up. All because it is a dot com domain... That is what's gonna help it shoot up!!!
It's all about those links..... You got no links to your site?? You ain't making it. That is the harsh reality but I fuckin warned you. Do not cry later on... This really shouldn't come as a surprise to you anymore. You know this already.. Get your head outta your ass. How many times do we have to tell you this?? SEO your sites properly both on-site and off-site. Market your shit and you will succeed. You need to either kiss other webmaster's asses for links or pull out your wallet and spend some cash on good links for long term. It's damn simple.
So, what's your next excuse going to be... Why the hell aren't you developing?? LOL. Everybody is doing it, whether the right or wrong way.. They are doing something which is a whole lot better than parking and everybody screws up once in a while so it's fine.. Everything in this game pretty much can be fixed. You are in control of the entire operation... It goes according to your actions. You influence everything and I mean everything!!
First of course you must recognize that and be able to take on control... 110% :) But maybe you are just not cut out for this development thing... Eh???! :)
