The very first observation I wrote on this website was about Frank Schilling of Name Administration Inc. I noticed that he was playing around with a whole new setup and I reported on it back in December in a piece titled Frank Schilling of Name Administration Inc push forward for change across 100,000's of targeted keyword domains which was pretty interesting stuff. The other day I came across another big change which I noticed on one of Frank Schilling's domain names which was eShopping.com --- which looks to be pretty new and innovative as far as domain parking setup and optimization goes. This latest design / setup was rolled out within the past 30 days or so.
A little over a month ago, on January 20, I made a prediction in a write up titled The next big thing to happen in the domain parking game... Can you guess what it is that this exact thing will happen with some of the Yahoo powered parking feeds sooner than later in 2009. It didn't take long for this prediction to come true... Thanks Frank Schilling! It looks like Franky is using self hosted picture thumbnails though. I am not sure why, but this is probably just a beta test on a smaller scale. The big news is that Yahoo OK'd it and it's live. Yahoo does have their own technology partner though or in other words a supplier of the thumbnails which I mentioned in the prediction article.
Probably within the next 6 month's or so you will see relevant thumbnails being displayed next to pay per click advertisements on Yahoo powered parked pages. It is the next logical step as I have already mentioned. It will help Yahoo and all the Yahoo powered domain parking companies draw some attention to their services and take away some of the market share. If it performs well... They may be able to snatch a nice share of the parked domains off of Google. You never know! So we'll see how this goes.
