That is right folks. Kevin Ham and Frank Schilling domain holdings are up for sale.. Thousands upon thousands of their domains are now available for purchase. Make your offer and you may just become the new owner of that great dot com keyword domain. Woohoo! Frank Schilling's domains are being offered exclusively through ProFormaInc.com and Kevin Ham's through DomainBrokers.com --- now as I wrote here just recently about the domain industry... There is lots of changes going on. 2009 is a very different year!!

All of the biggest players are diversifying their income streams. They are selling off. They are developing lots of sites. They are experimenting with lots of various different monetization setups. They are simply a lot more aggressive about getting business done. Last few years, people became really lazy. PPC parking revenues made most involved in the domain industry become something they were not. In 2009 the smart people have gotten re-energized once again and re-strategizing for the future. It's about time, right? YUP :)

So who the hell is ProForma Inc., the company that is handling the domain sales of Frank Schilling?! We haven't heard much about them, right?? Well, it is run by Vern Jurovich who is a close friend and business partner of Frank Schilling. Here is some more info straight from their website ProFormaInc.com

"ProForma is a privately owned company that manages brokerage services for some of the world's largest portfolios of premium, generic domain names. As the demand for domain names rise, many portfolio owners are finding that more and more of their time is spent responding to unrealistic and, oftentimes, unwanted offers for their intellectual property.
By using ProForma’s services, these portfolio owners can spend more time growing their core business and less on a sales channel that they have little interest in developing. ProForma acts as a go-between for buyers and sellers, helping with offer presentation, negotiation, and keeps all parties informed as payments are made and transfers completed."
Frank Schilling of Name Administration Inc. just got a lot more aggressive about domain sales it seems. I don't recall seeing the ProForma notice on too many sites. Now, it is on all of the pages that are setup with a 2-click setup. Kevin Ham domains however had most of the domains for sale for a while now via DomainBrokers.com which is one of his own websites / services.

"DomainBrokers.com is a professional domain broker with over a decade of industry experience. We provide members with direct access to purchase and sell many of the world's premium generic domain names. Acting as an intermediary between buyers and sellers, we ensure safe and fair transactions are made between both parties.
If you are interested in purchasing any domain names under our management, you must register for an account with DomainBrokers.com. Once a member, This service will allow you to easily access and submit offers on thousands of premium generic domains in a secure environment."

Most of the domains that both Kevin Ham and Frank Schilling are selling off are their worst performing domains. Long keyword domains that probably don't get any traffic.. Typos that are too risky to hold onto... Domains that were tasted which now don't receive any traffic anymore and so on and so on. They aren't selling the best domains. No.. Why should they. They are simply cleaning up.
Companies such as Oversee.net which is also one of the largest domain portfolio holders in the world are selling off their worst domains and even a few of their best as well over at DNEX.com directly to the public with buy-it-now prices for over 6 month's now. Domain Active / Fabulous which is owned by Dark Blue Sea has been running lots of bulk deals on tens of thousands of their domains too. NameMedia has been running some specials on their BuyDomains.com domain names as well. Everybody is "cleaning up" you see?

So, everybody is in sell mode? Yea, sure. Everybody is simply a lot more aggressive with their biz operations. Everybody is trying to squeeze out money wherever possible. Things have changed drastically over the past 12 month's and holding onto domains that aren't alive (no traffic / revenue / buyout offers) is really pointless. Long shots!! 1:100000 and when you have tens of thousands or hundred thousand plus domains... Well, it adds up!! Not very motivating :(
The costs are thousands of dollars in reg fees alone per year. Those domains that have been held onto for a few years = loss of millions of dollars!! It's time to get your act together. Seriously. The biggest players are working hard to get back on track. What are you doing??! Hoping for something to happen on it's own, where magically one of your domains will start to generate traffic + revenue or lots of $10k+ offers??! LOL. Nope. Won't happened. Get real... !!!

Look, if it hasn't already happened while you held onto the domains for a couple of years... It probably won't happen... EVER. Those domains you have are $-8. Liabilities as Rick Schwartz likes to call them. Set the renew to OFF. Focus on the whatever good domains you have. Try to shop them around. Try to develop them. Do something with the RIGHT domain names. Don't be so stubborn. You know most of your domains are crap.... Simply get rid of them. Focus on the domains that have something going for em. DO IT!! Good luck :)
