Goodbye 3G… Hello 4G! But what about 5G?!?
The hottest thing around is 4G… It’s expanding all throughout the US, slowly but surely. So it was cool to launch recently a new website on the category killer domain 4G.net for one of our clients. The site it-self has an informational guide type of setup, with a standalone affiliate store as well over at Shop.4G.net which was a nice addition.
Who owns 3G.com? Marchex… They have a little minisite on it actually. Worth checking out. Who knew Marchex were into minisites? Uhh. 3G.net is parked, and 3G.org is inactive. Now those 3G domains are pretty much has-been’s at this point.
It’s going to be all about 4G in the next few years…. Then I guess it will be 5G’s turn? As of right now, 5G.com is inactive, and 5G.net was sold last week at a Sedo.com auction for a little over $1,600. I think it was a good investment… Ownership of that domain was changed a few days ago. Now is too early to launch a website on it, but maybe I will be involved with that site one way or another. Who knows

Before 5G the big next think will be femtocells/femtos.
There will be no 5G. Here’s why…

Nice looking site.
Hand registering fourgphones.com a couple of years ago was definitely one of my wiser moves – traffic is up seven hundred percent on this time last year and it’s starting to turn in a good income.
Also registered fourgmobiles.com and fivegphones.com and fivegmobiles.com – so I’m looking forward to the future with interest
Success to us all!
Always good to get in early on trends…
