Why don't you pony up a few thousand bucks for a good cause.. You get to play and have fun too!

Everybody who has a blog or personal website this days writes about personal stuff or politics and other crap often... I've tried to avoid that on here from day one. Maybe I've wrote once on here about something that included something personal and wasn't entirely 100% business; development, advertising / marketing or domains related... But anyways, this is pretty cool, kinda important and yea, I am going to share about how I'll be using some creative advertising and keyword domains for a good cause as well. Yup. Read on..

So lets get to it, exactly in 3 month's from now Tennis legend Andre Agassi is going to be coming down from Las Vegas to the Dellwood Country Club in NY for the Kennedy Funding Invitational organized and brought to you by Kennedy Funding; America's leading hard money lender specializing in bridge loans for commercial property and raw land acquisition, development, workouts, bankruptcies and foreclosures. All proceeds from the ticket sales for the exhibition matches, events and week long tournament will be donated to the Nyack Hospital and Englewood Hospital and Medical Center. Over the past few years this event has raised millions. It's really awesome. Must visit.

Last year John McEnroe was here for the feature match who is quiet a character. I've met him and his brother Patrick a bunch of times but every time he's got something new.. Crazy guy but that is a real New Yorker for ya. Who else was here? Hmm... The top ranked man and woman from Israel, Dudi Sela and Shahar Peer. Known both of them personally for a couple of years now. Good bunch. Victoria Azarenka of Russia came down also. Both Peer and Azarenka were ranked top 20 WTA. A lot of other good players were around in 2008 as well, including Sam Querry who is a young up-and-coming talented American. The previous year in 2007 Pete Sampras came down for the feature celebrity exhibition match. It's really a great atmosphere and the event rocks. This years event is going to be even better than in 2007 and 2008. People from all over the tri-state area come down in large crowds.

I don't get out to too many of this type of social events and whatever but I've been coming to this event for a couple of years now to show support for the locals and community. I also have an office just down the road practically 2 minutes from where the event is being held. I plan to attend Saturday and Sunday with a couple of business partners and family as well. The mens/womens finals will be running through the weekend and it should be a great match. Last year Dudi Sela of Israel played against the two time NCAA champion.. I'll also be around for the Andre Agassi celebrity match, clinics, pro-am, etc. Going to be lots of fun. For only as low as $5,000 you can get the best VIP tickets to all of the activities at the event through the weekend and have a blast. It's a family event. If you want regular tickets to see Agassi or just for the party to shmooze, I can help you out if you would like to attend with family/friends at a special group rate if you got at least 10 heads. Shoot over an e-mail and I'll hook it up... Limited quantities avail. So get em ASAP.

So yea, I was playing tennis with one of my buddies the other day and we were talking about doing something cool for this event in order to generate some more buzz and how we can generate more sponsorships and ticket sales too so it's 100% sold out... We came up with an idea in order to promote it locally... We'll print a few hundred specialized all weather proof durable flyers or whatever they are called and put up the url nytennisclubs.com/dellwood or newyorktennisclubs.com/dellwood (I've yet to decide which) in there in big font so that people can logon to the site and get event info, purchase tickets, etc. This will be a "micro-site" for the campaign. We'll probably mention a free ticket giveaway on it as well so people logon at least once and they are motivated. Everybody likes free stuff right? Of course they do.

The text and contents of the flyer will be less than 50 words total. Just a picture of Andre Agassi and some of the basic information for the event and ad campaign. We'll have them posted at all public tennis facilities/parks and high schools with tennis courts in the area. We've got at least 50 locations to cover and up to 150 or so that we got our sights set on once we figure this out. This is going to be interesting and lots of fun. Summer is almost here... Come down to NY for a good fun filled and action packed event. Mark the dates of July 8 - July 12. I'm not too crazy about the organized events and social activities at country clubs but every now and then it's cool to meet up with people you read about in the newspapers and watch on TV making big bucks down here.. Some important people are going to be there and good to at least get together for something casual, meet their families, tell them who you are, etc. Worth the money... Did I mention Andre Agassi is going to be there? LOL! C-ya there :)
