There is something like 3 to 4 million domains expiring each and every month as of late... Huge databases of goldmines!! It definitely ain't easy going through them all day in and day out but if you know what to look for you can get so many bargains these days... Wow!!! Watch out :) That is all I gotta say.
Now, forget all the longshots which are .biz .us .info .mobi and all the other crap that expires daily.. Those domains don't get renewed for a reason. Focus on .com + .net + .org domains. That is where the real money is. They are proven winners. Popular keyword domains that get searched thousands of times per month that end in com / net / org = $$$. They are worth a premium.
Dot com and net domains are great for commercial types of sites and .org works really well for informational guides / resources. Either way, all three get the same treatment pretty much from the search engines so as long as you have the exact match keyword domain in one of those three extensions.. You are set lovely!! Developing them into successful sites couldn't be easier!
So lets take a look at the next two days of expiring domains available exclusively through snapnames.com with some useful Google data --- most of the domains are going for less than $100 a pop. Please note that the lists only load up / sort properly in firefox. No IE, Safari, etc. Use FF please :)
As you can see the expired domain lists consist of 1, 2 or 3 keywords at most. I am not a big fan of anything over 3 keywords, even in dot com so I don't even bother with em. The exact match keyword benefits wear off when you are dealing with Google as far as the SEO goes if you got really long domains. The shorter, the better of course. Users hate long domains as well... Spammy!!
If the domain has a decent amount of searches in both USA and Worldwide that means it's a good find. Now if there isn't any data in the USA, that doesn't mean that nobody in the states is searching for that keyword. Google just doesn't have that data and there may be various reasons for that. Really...
The google search data is not 100% accurate and it's there as just one piece of the puzzle. Up to you to piece them all together and there is many of them. What makes a good domain??! Uhh... It really depends on who you ask. You have to figure this out on your own, whether the domain is any good or not, according to whatever criteria you go by.
You figure this stuff out by thinking as if you were a developer / end user. Would you pay a premium for it?? Why??! Why not??! Is it a good domain to setup a small business? A huge business?? Is it truly one of a kind?!? and so on and so on. It takes me only a few minutes usually to figure out whether a domain is worth dropping some $$$ on it or not. It really shouldn't be that tough of a decision.
If you are not sure about any one domain.. Well, forget about it. There will be plenty more opportunities and much better deals to be had. With the data at hand, you should be able to pick out the best of the best domains daily and make some nice cash with them within no time. If you can't figure out how to... You must be totally confused and doing everything wrong :) Start fresh... !!
Yea yea... You are welcome. I hope you had fun going through some of the lists and found a few domains that sparked some interest. Go get em tiger... :D
