Hey guys... First of all, I'd like to ask you this right off the bat; why is your head so far up your ass?! How are you even able to function daily and call yourself an internet businessman and entrepreneur. Seriously. Why do you keep missing all of the greatest opportunities when they are right under your nose? You don't see them... At all?! I bet you hate yourself by now. Come on now!! Wake up. Pay close attention for once. Stop bullshiting around! So you are either going to like me a lot more after reading this article or hate my guts. Either way, I really don't give a shit, but it is what it is. Have a good read! :)
Doing SEO for Google / Yahoo and MSN and pulling in all that organic traffic is cool but it is old news... You can't really depend on just one thing this days. That is real stupid. All of the people that do, well... Sucks for you!! You always want to have multiple sources of traffic. Reliable sources. Ok, no worries! There is many other opportunities to cash in on though and they keep popping up monthly... Sometimes even weekly. Sometimes multiple times per day! Really depends on which niche you take part of. You have to be actively looking for them and be at the right place and at the right time. You just have to think a little outside the box too. Can you??! Have you ever done this... Successfully?!
Everybody and their mama has been optimizing their websites to rank right at the top on Google, Yahoo and MSN... For many years now. Competition is fierce. Some companies spend 6 figures per month and have teams of people working on this SEO stuff for them. They take it pretty seriously... You know?! For you to think that you can pop up one day with a mini-site and compete with them is really silly. So anyways... You know this site called Wikipedia.org right?! Well, that site is only one of the most popular sites in the world. Top ten most visited site in USA / Canada / UK. So what does Wikipedia have to do with anything you are thinking to yourself?! Hmm... Yep. You don't get it. Sillyhead.

Look, you have to think outside the box sometimes. Yep.. It is difficult. Yep... You don't like to, but you have to. You have to take risks too. It's business 101. So yea, Wikipedia gets a lot of traffic. They have a lot of content and you could of made a lot of money thanks to Wikipedia... Well, even now you still can... But you see, you are kinda late to the party. A few years have gone by :(
Those easy money days are only to be written of and remembered by the millionaire SEO gurus who are either retired or much more successful businessman today. You had no clue what you could of done back in the early days??! Right up to 2007 when things changed big time... You had your head up your ass. The opportunities were right there, staring you in the face but you missed it. No worries... You weren't the only one. LOL! Damn man.. Sucks !!

A lot of smart genius domainers, professional webmasters / site publishers, seo experts, and so on and so on missed the boat... I sure as hell didn't. I made a lot of money right til' the very last day that I could of thanks to Wikipedia. We are not talking about a thousand dollars or $100,000. We are talking about a very significant amount, all thanks to Wikipedia. We are talking seven figures here and the best part --- it was so damn easy. It was a beautiful thing. :D
Now, there is this "code" and stuff where SEO's who do this type of advanced and risky type of marketing don't out one another, so I won't give any examples of what some people / companies have done and how their current websites are making $xxx, xxx per month all thanks to Wikipedia from back in the day... I will just talk about my own operation and experiences. OK?!
Alrighty.. So, we're talking about Wikipedia, the #1 online encyclopedia. When you visit the main page... It says "the free encyclopedia that anyone can edit." <---- now did a lightbulb just go off in your head or not? Hehe... Yup. Anybody could create any article, or already edit an existing one. It's all done in real time. No questions asked. It's quick and easy... You can do one addition or edit or one thousand of them. This thing is pretty cool... Don't you think? :D
I officially fell in love with Wikipedia around February / March of 2005. It really happened by accident actually which is the funny part. I was doing a link building campaign for one of my sites, and I decided to go ahead and setup one in Wikipedia too.. I mean, why not? It's free. It takes exactly one minute. No brainer right?! So I did it. I check my stats a week later... I got lots of traffic from that particular article from Wikipedia on which I linked my site within. Wikipedia sent the most traffic compared to all of the sources and it only took me one freakin minute to get it... WOW!! Isn't that something? Totally. YEA!
Hmm... So I am thinking to myself, this is cool!! Who knew right?! I am really liking this free traffic. Great Deal!! Adding links to Wikipedia is pretty useful and it's not a waste of time like submitting at a million other stupid directories. Yup. I think I am going to start adding more of my websites within specific articles that are related to the site so I can drive even more free targeted traffic :D
Here is just a timeline of Wikipedia website's growth... From day 1. Yep. They have been around for a long time... Long long time.
January 2001: 0 articles, Wikipedia is founded
July 2001: approx 6,000 articles
December 2002: approx 100,000 articles
January 2004: almost doubled the articles in one year...
Fast forward to February of 2005, which is when I begin adding my website links to Wikipedia... They are already at 500,000 articles. Not bad right?! I have a large choice of articles to plug in my links to... YAY!! Wikipedia really burst onto the scene in 2005 and has been growing like crazy ever since.
March 2006: 1,000,000 articles
Mid 2007: Approaching 2,000,000 articles and still going strong...
Here we are today and it is May 15, 2009.. Wikipedia still keeps on growing and they got almost three million articles on just about any subject you can think of. Wikipedia currently receives something like 20,000,000 to 25,000,000 unique visitors per day. Yes per day! That is more than half a billion uniques per month. That is also about one half of all of the current active internet users in the world. They have some great reach... Don't you think?! Yes they sure do... Because they rank top 3 for all of the best keywords. Over 10,000,000 of them. It's pretty freakin awesome. Wohooooo!! Go Wikipedia!

So where was I... Ahh, right. So of course getting your site listed in Wikipedia was pretty clever in order to get some "link traffic" but that really wasn't the only benefit. Nope. There was something else... Another reason. One that many people totally missed of course. You see, once you got your link in a bunch of Wikipedia articles... Google would ultimately fall in love with your site and rather fast too.
Why? Because Wikipedia was an authority site and since you are listed there... That means that your site is really really freakin awesome. So, yea... Get it now?! You got the VIP treatment on Google.com which is the #1 search engine in the world, thanks to Wikipedia. Also, Wikipedia's content was syndicated throughout many top sites... So you got a lot of backlinks that way in the long run. Getting listed in Wikipedia had a lot of benefits... But no, you never really thought about this.. Did you? LOL! Worst part is... Nobody ever told you?! Oh damn :( Nobody likes to share the good stuff. Is that really a surprise?! Heh..
I remember launching websites, lets say on day 1.. On day 2 I would get them linked up in Wikipedia... On day 20 I would already start to rank over at Google for the exact match root keyword found within my domain and get traffic for it... On day 30 I would begin to receive a lot of long tail search engine traffic as well. The sites we setup were profitable within 1 month on average.
We setup 1,000's of them across many niches but primarily focused on Real Estate and Porn because we could make $100s and in some cases even $1,000's off of each lead and every lead... We made a shitload of money with this operation. All thanks to Wikipedia passing "link juice" the way they did. Unfortunately, this "hole" was fixed on one sad day in January of 2007. Talk about a shitty start to the year for SEO peeps. LOL! They nofollowed the external links. My love affair with Wiki lasted for only 2 years. I was heart broken. It's all good. I was actually surprised it lasted as long as it did. The abuse was getting pretty outta hand and it was time for some changes.. :P

Gotta say, it was great... Made out with lots and lots of money. I made my first million in the domain industry from 2004 - 2005 and then quit in order to move onto bigger and better things. I shifted my focus to more aggressive SEO such as this Wikipedia loophole and other PPC affiliate marketing as well. I made my second and third million and so on thanks in part to Wikipedia and of course Google.com which sent me all this free targeted traffic. Tons of it. Gotta love it.
There is always a lot of opportunities. Lots of new ones. No shortage of them on the internet. So much to do. So little time. Ahh... You just have to really look. I know a lot of others were also gaming the system big time, but hey... As long as you weren't really linking up to anything totally crappy... It went unnoticed and nobody cared! What?! You are shaking you head?? You are surprised?? You can't believe what you are reading... LOL! Come on now ;)

Hell, I still have sites I linked up within Wikipedia back in early 2005 still up there... Untouched! LOL. Sites which I sold years ago for as much as 100x ROI and all thanks to Wikipedia. They added a lot of value to em and I mean A LOT. So you are wondering, how you too can capitalize on this opportunities right?! Right? Well, they exist.. They are all around you, but it is up to you to spot them and go after them. When Kevin Ham, Frank Schilling, Rick Schwartz, BuyDomains, Xedoc Holding, etc...found out about domains, they went after those opportunities hard. Limited quantity... Time sensitive... They went after this shit hard and like there is no tomorrow. Threw all their $$$ into it too!! ;)
So did I when I found this "opportunity" to game the Wikipedia system in my advantage for profit. I went out and hired over a dozen writers. I had some of them create accounts at Wikipedia and write dozens of articles per day, so that they could fit in and be seen as "contributors" and not spammers within the Wikipedia community... A lot of times we wrote articles about topics which never existed previously, so we actually did contribute... A LOT! Hehe... :)

We built up at least a few thousand articles in there.. Probly even more though... Don't remember exactly... But yea, we plugged in our own website links in there at the end and all throughout. No, we weren't so stupid as to plug in only our own website links, this would look really suspicious right? So we plugged in 5 - 10 other relevant sites as well. Nobody ever catched onto us.
Nobody ever said anything for the most part. We switched up many user accounts. Many ISP hosts too. I sub-leased 13 offices (home offices setup in apartments) in 3 different states and was signed up with over a dozen ISP's in 2006 so we couldn't be traced. We were unstoppable. We were determined to cash in on this and to the max. We left zero footprints. Nobody will ever know, unless they read this article of course. Haha... Do I feel guilty?! Not one bit :D
So why don't you get your head outta your ass?! It's about time. Yep. You really have to be smart with this internet business shit and keep your eyes wide open... It's not always going to be easy... But once you get the hang of it, it's not so bad. You can't also hope and prey that somebody tells you some kind of a big secret. Nobody does that. I am sorry, but I was too busy from visiting blogs or forums in 2005 and 2006 with counting all the money I was rolling in.
Heh.. I wasn't there monitoring all the calls for help and new threads from all of the desperate newbies that want to become successful developers and SEO geniuses and so on. I was too busy traveling all around the world, taking vacations every month to a new country where I never ever been before all thanks to Wikipedia and Google. It was sweet.. I wish you could of joined me!! Maybe next time?! ;) Yea, that is if you can earn your spot... Can you?! I hope.
I've worked really hard in order to be where I am today... I enjoy all the challenges too. We're all so very lucky to have discovered domaining, SEO and marketing. Unfortunately, some people just aren't cut out for this internet self biz shit. I don't even know what to call it, but it's just a "crazy biz"... Makes sense? I don't know. But in my opinion it is. It's fuckin crazy and it is the wild west where pretty much anything goes.
I know you probably think that I am a bad person now, for doing this and that... But do I really give a shit about what some random man / woman thinks about me on the internet?! I did what I did because I am a businessman and when this opportunities come... I am all over them. If there is money to be made... I am there. The smartest people recognized the opportunities, selected their "niches" and went at it. They owned their niches. They put in long hours and got rewarded exponentially.
Stop worrying so much about what others think. Find the holes. Exploit them. Laugh all the way to the bank. Let all the newbies and losers go about doing what they do. Let them bitch and moan. It's the only thing that they are capable of. Success just doesn't run in their blood... You are here, reading my site... That is a very smart move. I congratulate you! :) Stay tuned and make sure to visit often... I will continue to share my experiences and provide many case studies and hints at this types of opportunities that still exist today. Yup ;)
Nobody and I mean nobody shares as much as I do and gives you real life practical advice that actually works. If you don't understand it or it doesn't make much sense at first from all my other posts.. Well, it is kinda cryptic... I know, but I do it on purpose. Only the smartest will get the real meaning. Only the best of the best are able to extract the *goodies*. They are not the ones who post "you rock mike" or 10 paragraph rebuttals in the comments. They are the ones who go about their business quietly. They don't give a shit about anybody or anything. They don't care about you or me. They are warriors! This is their battle field. The internet. It's where they make a living...
This types of people discover sites such as WannaDevelop.com and come to them often, they read the info, and get down to it. Work work work... 15 and 20 hour days that start with a lot of excitement and enthusiasm because they are hungry for it. They want to be something in this life. They have committed themselves to be the best they can be and posses the internet entrepreneur mentality and want to work hard while the opportunities still exist because you never know what tomorrow brings.
This people... They go weeks without coming outta the house and month's without a vacation or taking a day off from work. I should know. I was one of them!! LOL. It's not an easy lifestyle. It's all about choices though. For you, maybe $10,000 per month is cool.. So you don't have to work as hard as some do. My personal goal is to retire from this shit before I am 30... Which is quite a few more years down the road but I am going at it like there is no tomorrow. I still work 14 - 16 hours per day and put in 70 - 80 hour weeks. It's fun. It's exciting... I am having a good time here and making good money. Why not?!
What are you doing anyways? Are you inspired yet?!? Did those lightbulb's start going off like crazy as soon as you started reading the article or do you hate me now... Am I your worst enemy now??! Hehe.. Have I got your attention yet with this article?? Oh damn, you stuck around and actually reading this entire thing.. Over 3,000 words. Bravo. This was pretty long. Awww, you love me.. Don't you?! LOL.
Ok, so anyways... To success. It's all within reach, you just have to "think outside the box" a lot more than you do now and commit yourself 110% to whatever it is that you are doing.... Oh and you also have to keep reading this website! Over 1000 unique visitors strong per day as of late... Fuck yea! Gotta love it. Don't take everything I said too personal or to the heart. I am here to help you... All of you. If you are the "soft" easily offended type and you almost had a heart attack or threw up a couple of times while reading... Well, fuck off, seriously. Other than that, lets keep it rolling. Until next time... CIAO :D
