Just the other day one of my clients notified me that he came across another domain development service that had a pretty similar sales pitch. So I visit the website... I look closely.. WOW! Pretty much copied me word for word. Well, I am flattered. LOL. What else is there to say?! No.. I am not going to send a C&D letter to this person's web host. No... I am not going to harass them or try to sue them. Let it be. I am sure things will take care of themselves. It's fine!

I personally have launched a significant number of my own successful websites over the years within this proven format and in my opinion it is the only way to go. If you own at least ten or more targeted keyword domains within the same family and you are not maximizing profitability, then let us do what we do best, develop them into profit rich entities.
We build website networks that are optimized for the search engines and they rank very high for any of the targeted keywords that you want to select. Our methods are uncomplicated but very effective as far as SEO goes and the designs are turnkey easily functional and user friendly. Search engines like this type of websites and setup, as do visitors to your site.
I actually remember this person e-mailing me not so long ago.. Maybe it was a few month's back?! He wanted to talk about some partnership / jv I believe... I replied and said "I am all ears" but he wanted to speak on the phone / meet or something like that... Unfortunately I don't have the time to speak to every person on the phone who wants to. I turn down all of this requests if I don't know you or have done business with previously and we're not talking about $1,000 worth. Talking about at minimum $xx,xxx contracts and projects.
If I did call everybody who wants to talk biz on the phone or just chit chat about domains or development, I wouldn't get anything done at the end of the day and I'd be stuck talking on the phone for like 10 hours per day, seven days a week. I hate talking on the phone. I am much more productive when I am sitting in my home office at the computer with my desktop, laptop and iPhone fired up... Replying to 100s of e-mails and going at it like there is no tomorrow.
I love to multi-task and the phone totally kills my work flow... I text lots... I e-mail lots mostly when I am working on my desktop and sometimes iPhone too. Calls? Rarely... Only if something is really important. So anyways, I haven't heard from that person since the initial communication. Have not seen his company doing too much either in the domain space from what it looks like. Don't get me wrong, he is a good guy from what I know and heard from other domainers. Hard worker. Successful businessman. Domain veteran.. But I just don't understand why copy somebody elses sales pitch?!
It's not so difficult coming up with something of your own. The sales pitch should always be personalized. It is only a few paragraphs. Not talking about anything too complicated here. The domain mass development niche is really tiny. There is maybe a dozen individuals / companies who are currently active doing business or trying to stay in biz. If you copy somebody or do anything like that... It will get noticed sooner than later.

I know it's easy to copy and paste stuff from other sources who have done all the work, we've probably all done it here and there at one point in time when we were feeling lazy... But come on now, as soon as you feel un-lazy you should change it. This stuff is pretty important after all, right?! Are we all turning into lazy asses that just copy / paste off of others or just change up a few words? Are we all taking the advice of other successful people, putting your own spin on it and taking credit for stuff? Unfortunately, this is the times we live in... It's only going to get worse too in my opinion. Anyways, back to biz.
