Domain mass development is all about creating opportunities. Lots of them. There is nothing really too fancy schmancy about it and for the most part it is really done "lottery style" which should be obvious, if you didn't already know. The more web sites you launch, the more odds are in your favor in getting a lot more winners. With regular development, it is always either hit or miss and most people already know this from previous experiences, developing sites one by one... We have all tried and failed most of the times. Yes... Even I have ;)
With domain mass development, you have a cost effective way of playing the domain development game the smart way. You don't invest too much money or resources into any one site. You spread it all out. Diversification is important in just about every business. Ask the most successful real estate / stock investors for example... Guess what their strategy is for long term? Yea, sooo.. Some of your lottery tickets (developed web sites) you will be able to cash in literally within weeks. Some will take month's. Some over a year or more?!
It's just the way it is. Nobody knows how long it will take to break even. Nobody knows whether your developed domains will be a success or not. There is only one way to find out and that is to launch the web sites and let time do it's thing. Nothing happens overnight on the internet unless you get really really lucky. Development is therefore a long term play and it takes a while for all the pieces to fall into place. It's a rather delicate process. You have to know when to be aggressive and when to wait it out. Lots of variables come into play here.
I got one client who we mass developed approximately 400 geo-sites within 1 month, guide style, which was focused on mostly real estate and local travel. It was done in January of 2009. A few month's go by and the web sites begin to pull in some traffic from Google. Then just the other month Yahoo finally started sending traffic too. How much traffic is Yahoo sending?! More than twice as much as Google is.. The sites are ranking for the better keywords in Yahoo VS. Google which is nice. The sites will rank well at Google too, eventually.
So... We implemented a monetization strategy via PPC + various affils 3 month's in to generate some revenues because the timing was right. The network of sites has been growing in traffic + revenue week after week, after week about 100 days in with development. It has a lot of room for improvement and without a doubt the traffic will continue to increase. The best part? I scored this client a direct advertising deal just the other week. How much?? Six figures and it is a 1 year deal. Paid in full up front. Already inked!
Most people think that either PPC or affils is the best or only way to make money with websites that get traffic. WRONG. Direct advertising is where the real money is. It's when you sell exclusive advertising rights on all of your sites to one company who truly understands your offering. They will be all over your ass for an exclusive deal. They will pay top dollar to lock you in a deal for as long as possible. It's a bit risky, sure, but they scored an AMAZING deal as far as what they will be getting with the traffic + SEO linkjuice acquired. Win-win.
Our client now has made back all of the money he invested in mass developing those 400 domains and a nice profit to take home or re-invest elsewhere. But guess what we're discussing and making plans for next? Yep, a new project with over 1000 domains. A similar network with twice as many travel and real estate domains and a much more aggressive approach in his niche which is still wide open... Thanks to domain mass development we will get in there and cash in on the opportunities once again. Without mass development... NO WAY :(
It is much easier to score big advertising deals when you got a lot of successful sites. A lot easier to get people to hear you out when you say you got a "network" of something, especially when you are still developing it and constantly tweaking it... It just sounds much more exciting and you definitely going places with the setup. People will want in on it. You offer them a deal they cannot refuse and they will tell you "YES YES YES" without hesitation. They will be your new best friend and partner in making things happen with it.
Look, I've put together many of those kinds of deals over the years. I do at least a few 6 figure direct advertising deals for clients on a monthly basis. The advertisers always got money to spend. It's no problem finding them either. What we do is send them leads exclusively or setup their service / product offering throughout the websites and nobody else's. Also we setup their sites by running aggressive SEO link building campaigns on our networks. We do a bunch of other creative and non-traditional stuff... It's all in demand big time!
It is all about exclusivity. That is where the real money is when it comes to development. It's the best thing you can offer to somebody. If you have lots of well established sites + targeted traffic.. Monetization is the easy part of the entire operation. Proper web development is tough... Sure! But thanks to domain mass development, the smart get-it-done type of people are able to deploy lots of sites and capitalize on all of the opportunities that still exist where you don't need to invest crazy amounts of cash or work too hard.
Domain mass development is only the first step though. It is when you officially enter the race by launching so many sites. It is when you declare to Google and everybody else who you are competing against.... "I AM HERE AND I AM OPEN FOR BUSINESS!!" So let me ask you this. Are you open for business? How many opportunities are you chasing?! Are you even chasing the right opportunities? Are you in it to win it? You do understand that development is a grueling process and one that requires lots of patience + resources... Right?
Well, it's all good. The best part is that you can choose on what level to compete. You do the research. You do the domain mass development.. Basically, you do your part properly and rest assured Google and the visitors will do theirs. It all begins with you taking the first step forward. You have to launch the right web sites. You have to do the right SEO. You have to manage the networks properly over time and build em up. It's not for everyone but if you want the big bucks.... You will have to bust your ass and spend some $
So, back to the original question which was: "WHAT CAN DOMAIN MASS DEVELOPMENT DO FOR YOUR BUSINESS??" Hehe... No no... It's what can YOU do with domain mass development??! :) Think about it... Think about real good and then hit me up to discuss your plans + strategies. Cheers!
