I'll be publishing and sharing lots of my own personal thoughts and strategies in this section. I will focus on writing comprehensive articles covering topics that have not been covered before by too many people for obvious reasons so it should be pretty unique and interesting and you can learn a new thing or two. Lots of information about the relationship of keyword domains within successful website networks and targeted traffic which is a must for any successful online business.
I won't be mentioning much about the history of domain names and what goes on in the domain industry in general or search engine optimization trends and whatever because there are plenty of blogs and forums dedicated to this so why repeat and re-write what is already out there. I write based on my own personal experiences and if you do follow some of the things I mention and incorporate them into your operations... You will see some results and success.

There is not enough hours in the day when you are a domainer and you got your shit straight. There is opportunities everywhere. So much to do.. So little time... Ahhh!! I try and focus only on a handful of niches that I am already familiar with where I have already had some success when acquiring new domain names for development. Some of those niches I have been involved with for many years so I can tell right away if the domain is worth anything. I don't remember last time I lost money on a domain purchase. My advice to anybody just starting out is to only deal with domains that you are able to gather lots of data.

There is something like 3 to 4 million domains expiring each and every month as of late... Huge databases of goldmines!! It definitely ain't easy going through them all day in and day out but if you know what to look for you can get so many bargains these days... Wow!!! Watch out :) That is all I gotta say. I been playing the domain drop game for a little over six years now. A lot of people nowadays complain that things just aren't what they used to be and that is true, but there is still lots of bargains available each and every day and of course and always will be --- if only you know where to look and what to look out for. Scanning 100,000+ domains daily is unrealistic. Duhhhh!! Now, not to brag or anything but I've made well into seven figures in net profit since 2003 buying expired domains and then reselling them or developing them down the road. Domain mass development is all about creating opportunities. Lots of them. There is nothing really too fancy schmancy about it and for the most part it is really done "lottery style" which should be obvious, if you didn't already know. When I found out first hand that you can make money with domains, a lot of money, and pretty easy money actually, the year was 2003... Unfortunately, I was so freakin busy with a million other things that I could barely dedicate any quality time to this new found opportunity. Those three Canadian dudes got 1 million domains worth $1 billion and you got shit!
Frank Schilling, Kevin Ham and that mysterious $164 million man who is otherwise known as Yun Ye managed to snatch up close to 1,000,000 of the best domains in only a few years... But what do you got?! You got all the shitty names and leftovers! Yep... Those three amazing genius domainers pretty much did a clean sweep right around 2001 - 2004 while everybody else was too busy with god knows what. Some of the others who invested in domains managed to do OK back then but those three in particular went at it like there was no tomorrow. Yun Ye sold his domain collection to publicly traded Marchex for $164 million a few years ago.

I have been successful with a lot of my internet based ventures over the years for the most part because I am able to think outside of the box and then execute. Just the other day one of my clients notified me that he came across another domain development service that had a pretty similar sales pitch. So I visit the website... I look closely.. WOW! Pretty much everywhere you look this days on the web, everything is setup with some type of content management system (CMS) and the most popular choice is of course WordPress. It's not just a blog publishing tool or application or whatever the correct term is... It is a full blown system that can pretty much do everything that you can dream up and need it to do. There is so many cool add-ons for it and the system is pretty damn stable as long as you know what you are doing and keep up with the maintenance. It is very dependable and flexible. As I've written here before on numerous occasions now on this topic... I've mentioned that about 90% of all blogs and websites in general about the domain industry, development, search engine optimization, marketing, etc. they are all full of BS based on very little proven techniques or from credible sources. Lots of so called "theories" and fantasies too being spread around, in other words straight out lies. There is very little good and original content out there on the web. Most of the stuff is recycled information that has been around forever that people re circulate. I know of maybe 5 - 10 good and worthy domaining blogs at most that consistently come up with unique information that is original and interesting to read which you actually learn and take away something from.

It's funny but some people just don't know when it's time to cash out. They couldn't pick the right timing or make the best decision when it comes to this stuff even if their life depended on it. Some of you may or may not know but one of my biggest successes as far as domain mass development goes has been in the adult business. I took approximately 3,000 hand registered com / net / org keyword domains and turned them into a multi million dollar operation easily. It involved a few partners of mine because pulling off this type of stuff individually is pretty much impossible. It was a team effort from start to finish. We registered all of the most popular pornstar names and mass developed them blog/tgp style. Now I know exactly what you are thinking... But no, we didn't infringe anything or do anything wrong. So how about a case study... OK, so.. Lets see. DJ Mystik / DJ Mystic. Which one is the correct one? Well, it is DJ Mystik, but both variations get pretty much the same amount of searches and activity. So, back when I wanted to setup websites about DJ Mystik in 2006, I went ahead and registered both variations and setup websites on both dj mystik dot net and dj mystic dot net to pull in as much traffic as possible and capitalize. Two websites went up. Currently the DJ Mystik domain ranks #3 on yahoo and #2 on msn for the keyword "DJ Mystik" look it up and see for yourself. The DJ Mystic domain ranks #1 on both. I was cleaning out one of my domain registrar accounts earlier in January and came across the domain Bar Refaeli dot com which I have had for a couple of years. I wasn't doing much with it. It was just inactive, sitting there... Not even parked or with a website setup. Totally unused. I decided to put it up for sale on a couple of domain forums and see what I can get for it. I got some interest on a private board and the right offer came in. I ended up selling it for $2,000. I spent less than $100 to acquire it and hold it for all these years. So... Not a bad flip right?! Well, I don't know. Argh... Just two weeks ago she made it on Sports Illustrated 2009 Swimsuit edition's cover which is like on every store's shelves right at the top where it is most visibile. Sex sells baby! She's now got...

Domain mass development the right way! Is it simple? How difficult is it?? OK OK, settle down --- you have been wondering this for a while now and still not sure what to make of domain mass development. Is it really possible to pull off though? Yup. There are tens of thousands of domain networks out there that consist of dozens of web sites that were mass developed... There are thousands of networks that consist of hundreds of web sites and yes there are many networks out there as well that consist of thousands and tens of thousands of domain names as well, some of which I have covered in detail and wrote about previously already on multiple occasions.

Domain Development for what... For who?!
I see a lot of people every day trying to develop out their domains into some sort of functional websites... That is really great, but ask yourself first "for what" ??? What for are you developing? I guess the answer is in order to make more money obviously by teaming up directly with affiliates, selling advertising to companies who you may want to approach, increasing traffic from the search engines, etc. OK, great, but who are you developing for exactly? Do you know the demographic of visitors?? Do you know the advertisers?! Is there even any advertisers to reach out to? Let me tell you... I see many people trying to develop domain names that absolutely make no sense...

If it wasn't for those 20+ domain parking companies I wouldn't of been able to earn six figures per month...
The year was 2005 and I had been domaining "professionally" for close to one year and accumulated a domain portfolio with thousands of domain names mostly focused on Music/Movies/Games, basically domains within the entertainment niche as well as a lot of Adult/Porn related domain names. I had a lot of traffic too coming in to all of this domains which were all of generic nature as well as ones that were expired or "foreclosed" sites which I picked up once they expired... I never really liked domains that just sounded cool but didn't have the potential to generate traffic, I did buy some of those, for example 3 letter .net and .org and single word names in com/net/org but flipped them as fast as I could.

I haven't seen too many people sharing any good new strategies in order to get domains sold or specifically how they are selling theirs and whether there is any success at the end of the day. I'm talking about people that are selling many domains... Some of the bigger players per se. Some of the smaller players doing smaller deals in the reseller market or whatever may be sharing only the methods that work but they aren't sharing the methods that don't work. This is not good. When something doesn't work, you need to share this as well. The good and bad. All of it. What should you do with that $10,000 sitting in your bank account waiting to be put to good use?
The $10k is just an example, but yea... What is the best way to spend lets say $10k on domains and development this days.... What does it get you? It all really depends whether you are thinking long term which is a year or two at minimum or whether you wanna be in and out fast which means short term and anything less than one year. Well right off bat I will tell you that buying just one or two good generic domains for development isn't the best option. Now of course it is the "safe" and a pretty much "guaranteed" way to invest your money wisely but I do not want to write about this type of scenario as developing just one or two domains is quite boring and isn't what I do or what the site is all about.

Transition from domain parking to full blown development really possible... Millions of new sites to pop up on the web real soon!?!!?
So I've made an observation and followed a certain trend pretty closely in the domain industry... Where over the past 2 years especially there has been a few new services or people that will pop up just about every few month's and offer the next big thing for domains that are currently parked...if you switch your domains to them... they provide lots of development options for your domain and that it is so much more advanced and has tons of potential. The main argument is increased payouts by implementing various monetization methods, of pay per click, affiliates, leads or whatever else and of course more relevancy as a whole with the main focus being on better user experience, traffic growth via search engine optimization...

So you are good at developing websites... You are able to come up with good ideas for development of keyword domains... You see opportunities and are able to see through and create the right websites time and time over and over again with compelling content that drives lots of free traffic and earns nice money too. You know enough about search engine optimization and how to setup website networks. Great!! But development is really a never ending process... There is much more to optimization on a few different levels, aside from "search engine optimization" where you can constantly make little improvements...

OK, so what is the trick to make some quick and easy money from websites? Not just a few dollars a month from a few hundred visitors that you are able to get to your sites by accident but good money off 1,000s of daily visitors and consistent growth with both traffic and income too!?! Well, here is the deal... It all has to do with the type of domain you choose to invest your time and energy in order to develop and the topic it deals with. Ask yourself a couple of questions first, before you commit to any project... Is this niche very competitive? Is it still emerging... Is it at its peak? Maybe it is going to die out soon? Is there a lot of keywordkeyword.com/.net/.org domains ranking for those keywords that you are after in google, yahoo, etc...

The right domain is really one of the most important things you need to look at and consider before you launch any type of web site... You better spend some extra time on picking the perfect domain to match up with your online business/presence. There are many reasons to choose a relevant keyword domain but I will talk about the SEO aspects. First of all the domain name should be directly related to whatever it is you are planning to have the website about. If it is mainly about Flowers then the domain name should certainly contain the keyword flowers in it. Not having the keyword within your domain is stupid. Real stupid.

I'd like to profile and write a little about some of the largest and best on-topic website networks in a few various categories which I think are great prime examples of putting all pieces of the puzzle together. Having a simple and clear business plan, commitment and beliefs will ultimately lead to much success. All of the people and companies which I list below did it. There is no reason why you can't do the same. There isn't really any easy money out there anymore in 2009. You have to work your ass off. The people who founded the companies below did it the old fashioned way and worked their asses off and look where they are today. They had a vision and followed through.
